My ancestors originally came from a place called Couch\'s Mill in Cornwall and I do believe it is this town of which their name was given. Samuel Couch who married Joan Libby died in Polperro - Cornwall in the late 1700\'s. Information on this family and the other Couchs of distinction are located on the Polperro Family History Society\'s Website. If you can help me in how Couch\'s Mill got its name and if it was my Couch family whom the town bears it name, or any other information I would love to hear from you.

We visited with the Vicar there and he told us his son [a librarian in Yoevil] was researching the history of the area and would be publishing a book. Does anyone know anything about this?
