British Architect who designed the Manchester Athenaeum, the
Town hall at Halifax, and the Reform and Travellers' Clubs in London. His masterpiece is the Palace of Westminster
(or Houses of Parliament) for which he submitted his prize-winning design in 1835.
Edward Middleton Barry (1830-1860), his son, also and architect,
designed the covent Garden Theatre and charring Cross and Cannon Street railway bridges in London.
Sir John Wolf Wolf-Barry (1836-1918), his youngest son, an
engineer, built the docks at Cardiff and Grimsby, and Tower and kew bridges in London.
